Overview

The Department of Health Services Administration at Xavier University invites applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track, teaching professor position. This faculty member will be a part of the Department of Health Services Administration beginning in the Fall 2024 semester.

The Department specifically invites candidates with at least 10 years of increasing managerial and leadership experience in the healthcare sector with a desire to teach the next generation of managers and leaders. Preference will be given to candidates with senior level executive experience. In addition to healthcare experience, successful candidates will have earned a master’s degree or doctorate in a field closely related to health services administration.

Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Responsibilities will include teaching courses (undergraduate and graduate; on-campus and online), student advising, and assisting in Department-related activities. Preference will be given to candidates prepared to teach courses related to one or more of the following areas: healthcare management, leadership, government relations, and innovation.

The Department faculty is a diverse group of practitioners and scholars dedicated to preparing our students to be highly skilled and innovative contributors in the field of health services administration. The Department of Health Services Administration includes two programs: 1) the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA) certified Bachelor of Science in Health Services Administration; 2) the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME) accredited Master in Health Services Administration.
