We are currently seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Administration. This is a 12-month non-tenure-track faculty position. The successful candidate will demonstrate a robust commitment to teaching, research, and service, while providing clinical pharmacy services in the area of adult general/internal medicine in a hospital setting. Qualified candidates will possess a high level of clinical expertise and competency, enthusiasm for teaching, and the interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with learners, faculty, patients, healthcare providers, and the public

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality didactic and experiential courses in pharmacy practice
  • Develop and maintain an acute care clinical practice site
  • Engage in collaborative scholarly research activities, including presentations and publications
  • Provide mentorship and advisement to pharmacy students
  • Participate in departmental, university, and community service activities
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance pharmacy education and practice

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited institution
  • Eligibility for pharmacist licensure in the State of Connecticut
  • Completion of a residency program (PGY1 and/or PGY2) or equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience precepting pharmacy students
  • Prior teaching experience in an academic setting
  • Experience with innovative teaching methodologies and technology-enhanced learning
