ROLE of the POSITION
The Department of Health Care Administration and Policy (HCAP) in the School of Community Health Sciences invites applications for full professor. This is a 9-month tenured position. Candidate is expected to conduct scholarly research, pursued funded research, teach in the Ph.D., MHA, EMHA and/or BS degree programs in the department. Candidate is also expected to provide mentoring to junior faculty in the department and school. HCAP offers CAHME accredited MHA and EMHA programs and AUPHA certified undergraduate program. Responsibilities include: developing and maintaining an active research program leading to scholarly publications, serving on graduate student professional paper/project, theses or dissertation committees, assisting in the capstone course and internships as necessary and participating in appropriate levels of service at the department, college, university and system levels. The candidate is expected to teach and conduct research based on their expertise or research areas; conduct research and pursue funding; and participate in service activities.
This position requires a Ph.D. in Health Care Administration and/or Policy, Health Services Research or related area from a regionally accredited college or university. The candidate should have a proven record in extramural funding and scholarly research. Credentials must be obtained prior to the start of employment.
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
