Job Description
The University of Idahos Department of Movement Sciences and the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences are pleased to announce the availability of a full-time 9-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Exercise, Sport, and Health Sciences (ESHS) with a focus in Exercise Psychology in Kinesiology.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in sport and exercise psychology, physical activity and behavior change, and/or other related topics within our curriculum. The candidate will be a dynamic educator who can develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the ESHS curriculum. In addition, the person who fills this position will actively conduct interdisciplinary research that complements existing faculty expertise. Finally, candidates should be committed to mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, and value service to the institution, profession, and community.

Minimum Education/Degree Required:
Listed degree qualification is required at time of hire.
Required Qualifications:
- PhD/EdD in Exercise Psychology, Kinesiology or closely related fields, applicants who are ABD with dissertations in process will be considered (degree completion by start date is required)
- Scholarly productivity in area of expertise; and
- Experience teaching university-level courses.
- Experience conducting interdisciplinary and collaborative research;
- Experience mentoring undergraduate and graduate students;
- Development and delivery of coursework (online and face-to-face) for undergraduate and graduate programs;
- Potential to acquire external funding;
- Experience with accreditation; and
- Excellent communication skills.
