SCHOOL OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY is a highly ranked, accredited program in the College of Health Sciences. We are seeking an Associate Director for the Sophie Lin Rydin School of Occupational Therapy in Houston who will foster a climate of intellectual vitality and academic excellence, and will support our innovative and student-centered faculty members in their teaching, scholarship, and service activities. The Associate Director manages the day-to-day operations of the campus programs including budget and staff supervision. The Associate Director works closely with the School Director and the Associate Directors in Denton and Dallas, and is a member of the Council of Chairs.

Desired Qualifications:

  • A demonstrated record of teaching and service
  • Experience in leadership and inter-professional collaboration
  • An active line of research, funding and publication
  • Occupational therapy practice experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Required Qualifications:

  • An earned academic research doctorate
  • Eligibility for occupational therapist licensure in the State of Texas
  • Meet TWU criteria for Associate Professor/Professor, eligible for tenure
