Overview

The College of Health Science at California Baptist University (CBU) is seeking applicants for a nine-month faculty position in the Communication Sciences and Disorders program at the level of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will possess experience and expertise in the areas of child language, speech-sound production, or fluency. Individuals with scholarly or clinical interests in multilingual and/or multicultural issues will find ample opportunity to advance their work at CBU and are strongly encouraged to apply. Qualifications

Qualified applicants must hold a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology (doctorate preferred), a current Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, and be eligible for licensure in California.

Teaching Responsibilities

The successful candidate will join a collegial and supportive faculty and will be expected to uphold the mission of the University. Expected contributions include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas reflecting the candidate’s expertise, participating in program/university service, and contributing to the scholarly ethos of the program. Candidates eligible for a tenure-track appointment will have a track record of, or potential to develop, a program of research. Opportunities to provide clinical education and supervision within the Clinical Education Center on the Health Science Campus at CBU are also available.
