Medical Assisting Instructor

DESCRIPTION: SMCC is seeking a full-time faculty in the medical assisting program beginning fall 2021. Responsibilities include teaching five courses per semester, advising medical assisting students, developing and modifying curricula, participating in department/college committees and activities, and other professional duties related to the position. Appointments begin at the Instructor level.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • RMA or CMA credential
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 years working as a Medical Assistant in an ambulatory setting.
  • 3-5 years of teaching in either an ABHES or CAAHEPP accredited medical assisting program

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree or matriculation in master’s program in related field

PROJECTED START DATE:  August 16, 2021

STARTING SALARY:  $44,642 – $51,810
