Overview

Two full-time, tenure or clinical track positions in the Department of Clinical Dentistry, at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor with an appointment as a Clinical Team Leader. Responsibilities include didactic and clinical teaching in the pre-doctoral program, and service to the University. For tenure track appointments independent research and scholarly activity is also expected. Extramural faculty practice is available.

Clinical Team Leaders are responsible for providing a supporting educational environment for our students in the clinic. This includes assignment of patients, tracking of students’ progress towards graduation, and assuring that our patient population is receiving optimal clinical care.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A D.M.D. or D.D.S. degree from a CODA accredited dental school, or international equivalent. Candidates should have proficiency and interest in all aspects of clinical restorative dentistry.
  • Demonstrated interest in teaching is expected. Applicants must be able to meet the requirements for permanent or restricted faculty licensure in Illinois and have successfully completed the NBDE Parts I & II or the INBDE.
