Overview

Southeast Tech located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota is currently hiring a full-time Faculty member to teach the Invasive Cardiovascular Technology Program at its Sioux Falls campus location.
Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Develop and teach relevant curriculum that provides classroom theory and laboratory application that prepares students for entry-level positions in the Program field.
  • Develop and manage syllabus materials.
  • Coordinate course software and curriculum with the Dean of Curriculum and Instruction.
  • Adhere to course protocol guidelines according to Southeast Tech, Industry, and the accrediting institutional guidelines.
  • Assess/Evaluate course curriculum to continually enhance the Program.
  • Facilitate class instruction that provides an engaged learning environment for students.
  • Assess/Evaluate student performance and progress, and provide necessary feedback.
  • Identify and utilize instructional technology needs for college students.
  • Maintain required professional development hours to continue to develop the program.
  • Utilize and support our community and industry partners as a learning resource and extension of the classroom.
  • Build good interpersonal relationships within the campus community, establish positive rapport with students, and become active in campus organizations and activities that support the mission of Southeast Tech mission, and goals/objectives of the Academic Affairs Department.
  • Participate in the finance processes of the organization to include purchase and disposal of equipment and supplies, and the annual budgeting process.
  • In coordination with the Enrollment Management Department, participate in student recruiting and onboarding activities.
  • Provide guidance to other instructional support staff.

Position requirements include:

  • Master’s Degree in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology preferred; or a Bachelor’s Degree in Invasive Cardiovascular Technology or health related field required.
  • Minimum of three years of full-time, related experience required.
  • CCI registration as a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist required.
  • Must have strong knowledge of HIPAA and FERPA.
  • Post-secondary teaching and competency-based curriculum development experience preferred.
  • Must maintain a flexible schedule to respond to students and to teach several different courses at once.
  • Ability to attain technical education teaching credential.
  • Post-offer criminal background check required.
