Overview

The Clinical Assistant Professor of Cardiac Electrophysiology position will practice in an Endocrinology service line clinic.  This position is actively involved in patient care and teaching medical students and residents in the ambulatory clinics, as well as the hospital surgery/inpatient service.  Appropriate effort and activity in clinical research and service will also be necessary as well as a clinical record of sufficient depth to qualify for faculty appointment at the rank of Clinical Assistant Professor.  The position will work with existing with OSU-CHS administration to develop an operational practice. This position may be split between OSU-CHS and the US Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VA).

Qualifications

  • D.O., M.D. Field of Study: Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship
  • Eligibility for licensure in the state of Oklahoma
  • Board certification by the AOA or ABMS, or board eligibility
  • Devoted interest in education

Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of all areas related to clinic workflow. The position requires strong analytical skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, and advanced problem-solving skills. Computer skills are needed to operate electronic medical records. Good communication and leadership skills are a positive.  Interpersonal skills are required to interact effectively with faculty, students, clients and providers.
