Tenure-Track Faculty: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Teaching & Instruction: Deliver engaging learning experiences in classroom and lab settings, with the possibility of contributing to other Health Sciences disciplines
- Curriculum Development: Participate in curriculum design, assessment, and refinement to ensure alignment with best practices and evolving professional standards
- Program & Department Engagement: Contribute to department projects, program review, accreditation processes, and strategic planning initiatives
- College Service: Serve on department and College-wide committees that advance student success and institutional goals
- Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- Minimum of two (2) years of nursing experience with at least one (1) year of experience in one of the following areas:
- Teaching theory in an accredited nurse training program
- Providing nursing care, including personal care and activities of daily living, to older adults or for chronically ill adults
- Provision of long-term care facility services or direct care
- Eligibility to be approved as a Program Coordinator by the IDPH
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching and/or curriculum development experience in a nursing assistant program
- Ability to teach additional courses within other Health Sciences disciplines
- Demonstrated knowledge of IDPH regulations, Illinois Administrative Code Title 77, and OBRA 1987 standards related to CNA education
