Job Duties:
Join the faculty of uniquely designed entry-level occupational therapy programs.  At the end of the second semester, the program will admit approximately 1/3 of the cohort into the entry-level OTD program after mentorship and advising.

East Carolina University invites applications for a 12-month, non-tenure track position that includes the responsibilities of Capstone Coordinator. Primary duties will include: (1) serving as the Capstone Coordinator for the OTD program by guiding the OTD students through designing and preparing their capstone experience/project, collaborating with faculty mentors, and educating doctoral capstone sites and site mentors, (2) teaching graduate courses including capstone-specific courses, and (3) advising graduate students, participating in scholarly activities, and serving the university and profession.

Organizational Unit Overview:
The Department of Occupational Therapy has a well-established entry-level Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) program and a newly added entry-level Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program. The MSOT and OTD programs run concurrently and jointly admit a total of 26 students annually. Within the Department are 5 dedicated teaching and research labs, totaling 4,600 sq. ft. stocked with supplies and state-of-the-art equipment. Advanced technology (i.e., 3D printing, classroom video capture, virtual reality lab, fully integrated video management system, interactive anatomy table) is available to support innovative instruction.

The Department is part of the largest College of Allied Health Sciences in North Carolina which includes communication sciences and disorders, physical therapy, and physician assistant programs, among others, supporting a variety of interprofessional education opportunities. In addition, a health science library is located within the same building and includes a librarian dedicated to supporting our program in scholarly work. Adjacent to the health sciences campus is ECU Health Medical Center, a 974-bed, level-1 trauma center which offers multiple opportunities to partner with clinicians.
