Texas Christian University, Harris College of Nursing and Health Sciences, invites applications for the position of Director (Chair) of the Davies School of Communication Sciences and Disorders (tenure track appointment, Associate/Full Professor). The Director of the Davies School is responsible for leadership in advancing the School’s mission and goals within the University and College, as well as for faculty and staff development and resource enhancement. The Director is also the senior administrator of the academic unit and serves as the liaison between the School and the Dean of the college. The Director is responsible for leading strategic planning, program development, budget allocations and management of resources, student services, curricula, oversight of accreditation, recommendation for faculty/staff appointments as well as promotion and tenure. Additionally, the Director will teach in his or her area of interest. The preferred candidate will have administrative experience, including budget preparation, personnel management and program advocacy. Strong interpersonal communication skills are essential.
