Old Dominion University invites application for a 10-month full-time, tenure-track faculty position in the School of Dental Hygiene. This position is the rank of Assistant Professor.

The School of Dental Hygiene educates both undergraduate and graduate students in the Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene (Entry-level and online Post-licensure programs) and the Master of Science in Dental Hygiene (on-campus, online or hybrid). Incoming faculty will be expected to maintain an active program of teaching, service, and research, which includes mentoring graduate students in research. http://www.odu.edu/hs

The successful candidate must be a licensed dental hygienist with a master’s degree in dental hygiene; possess or be eligible to obtain a Virginia dental hygiene license; have experience in teaching and involvement in service and demonstrate effective oral and written communication. Preferred attributes of the ideal candidate include: research experience, publications in peer reviewed journals, an earned doctorate, and history of grant funding.
