Overview

Brewton-Parker College, tracing its origin to 1904, is a four-year, coeducational Christian comprehensive college accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, offering thirty-eight programs of undergraduate and graduate study to a diverse population of about 800 students in the micropolitan setting of Mount Vernon/Vidalia in the South-Central region of Georgia. As a Georgia Baptist institution, Brewton-Parker affirms the supremacy of Christ and expects members of the faculty and administration to model Christian values before the students, in their professional activities, and in their lives.

To begin at the start of the spring semester in January, 2024, this position will provide inaugural faculty support for the college’s new Bachelor of Science in Sport Management degree program. Responsibilities will include teaching, assisting admissions and marketing staff in recruitment for a new major, academic and career advisement, and all aspects of program coordination to ensure appropriate curricular content, quality, pedagogy, and currency in the discipline. Qualified candidates must have at least a master’s degree in the field of sport management or in an allied discipline with at least a graduate concentration (18 semester hours) in the required teaching field. Candidates with a terminal degree in the field will be preferred.
