Job SummaryThe University of Michigan School of Dentistry is seeking applications and nominations for a full-time clinical track faculty member at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Division of Periodontics, Department of Periodontics and Oral Medicine (POM).

The School of Dentistry and POM are seeking an individual with demonstrated teaching and scholarship skills and clinical proficiency in periodontics to support dental and dental hygiene education (in clinical and didactic courses), clinical & educational research activities, and interdisciplinary collaborations. The School and POM are fully engaged in supporting a model for dental education that includes digital dentistry, evidence-based dentistry and interdisciplinary education and care. Prior experience with teaching and research is not required, but desirable.

POM has an active mentorship program and provides ample opportunities for collaborative research. Opportunities are also available for participation in the School of Dentistry faculty practice. Salary and level of academic appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Candidates should have a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent and the ability to be licensed in the State of Michigan. Board eligibility or certification by the American Board of Periodontology is desirable.

Underfill StatementThis position is posted as Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the clinical track. The rank and salary of the selected candidate will depend upon the qualifications and credentials.
