The Concordia University (Saint Paul, MN) Department of Kinesiology and Health Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track or professor of practice position to begin August 2019. Applicants must have or be near completion of a relevant doctorate in Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Biomechanics, Nutrition or a related field such as Public Health, Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, or Rehabilitation Sciences.

The typical teaching load averages 12 credits per semester and will be primarily comprised of courses in the exercise science majors (BA, BS, MS). A preferred qualification is industry experience which will enhance the candidate’s mentoring of students within the department’s programs.

Kinesiology and Health Sciences faculty members are expected to be innovative in their teaching techniques to ensure student engagement and success. Faculty members are also expected to mentor students, support student recruitment initiatives, and contribute to the scholarly work of the department.

  • Master’s degree required.
  • Terminal degree preferred.
  • Required minimum 5 years work experience in the Kinesiology and Health Sciences industry
  • Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in the Kinesiology and Health Sciences industry
