Overview

The School of Business at Felician University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Healthcare Administration. The position is a full-time, 10-month appointment. The successful candidate will possess a combination of Healthcare practice and academic experience.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to course development and design, classroom instruction and advising. Essential functions will include teaching courses in accordance with published course descriptions, schedules, procedures and course syllabi; collaborating with the Dean and Associate Dean to assess and modify course and program goals, objectives, methods and content as needed; conducting on-going evaluation of student progress; maintaining records of student course/class performance; preparing and submitting grade and other reports on student performance; conducting class and University evaluations in accordance with University policy; maintaining a high level of expertise in subject matter; attendance at committee meetings and University events.

Essential qualifications for the position include a Master’s degree in healthcare administration or related field, doctoral degree preferred; proven evidence of effective management/administration experience in a health care organization within the past seven years; demonstrated experience in effective University teaching experience.
