Overview

McPherson College seeks a collaborative, innovative leader for the position of Assistant Professor of Health Sciences and Director of Health Science Programs. The successful applicant will lead the development and administration of enhanced health science curricula and programming, instruct and advise undergraduate health sciences students, and participate fully as a member of the McPherson College faculty and department of Health and Exercise Science. This individual will supervise students in classrooms, labs, and clinical field placements.

The desired candidate will possess a doctoral degree in health administration, policy and management, public health, or related fields and three-plus years of experience in the health or health care profession. Applicants with a master’s degree in healthcare administration, health services administration, or public health may also be considered. Knowledge of statistical software and electronic medical records system is advantageous. It is essential that the candidate possess the professional presence and enthusiasm to nurture partnerships with local healthcare professionals and organizations and serve as the public face and principal promoter for McPherson College’s evolving health science program.

The Assistant Professor of Health Sciences and Director of Health Science Programs position reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs and is eligible for full college benefits. The faculty position is a 12-month, three-year renewable appointment.
