Overview

Northeastern State University is seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor of Healthcare Management in the College of Business and Technology. The Program offers a M.B.A. and B.B.A. in Health Organizations Administration, with emphases in Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics and Long Term Care Administration.

Candidate must have experience and/or education in a healthcare service discipline with preferred experience in teaching in hybrid, online or cohort learning environments. The right faculty will be able to teach any of the healthcare management courses needed at either the graduate or undergraduate levels and may also have the possibility of teaching elective courses in healthcare management-related areas.

While based on the Tahlequah campus, the faculty member may be assigned to teach classes as needed on the Broken Arrow campus or online.

Responsibilities:

Outstanding teaching and mentoring of students are required. Service, interaction with local healthcare partners for internships and experiential learning, and research are expected.

Degree Requirements:

Doctorate required, or ABD near completion considered from university accredited by AACSBACBSP or equivalent.

Minimum Qualifications:

Professional and teaching experience in healthcare management areas is desirable.

Active membership in AUPHAACHEACHCAHIMSS or other relevant professional associations and/or knowledge of NABand/or CAHME accreditation standards and competency-based education preferred.

Experience or expertise in one or more of the following healthcare areas: hospital, long term care, or medical practice administration, health informatics, information technology, quality management.
