Overview

Elmira College is seeking applications for a potential tenure-track appointment in an undergraduate- only program in Speech and Hearing beginning in July of 2017. A doctorate in speech language pathology, ASHA certification, eligibility for New York State Licensing and New York State teaching certification are preferred; however a Master’s degree in speech language pathology will be considered. College teaching experience, while desirable, is not required. Regular assignments will include teaching coursework in language development, articulation and phonological disorders, diagnosis and appraisal, and other topics in the field. In addition, the position involves supervising undergraduate students in clinical practice in speech pathology.

Elmira College, the first college to offer a comprehensive curriculum for women, and home of the Center for Mark Twain Studies, is a small, well-established, residential, college in the Finger Lakes region of New York State.
