Oregon Health & Science University is seeking a full-time 1.0 FTE Program Director for Orthodontics. Responsibilities include oversight in the education of residents and dental students, establishment and maintenance of a program of specific and general scholarly activity, clinical and didactic teaching at the graduate level, participating in dental research (including clinical research), participating in departmental administration and strategic planning activities, delivering continuing dental education, and providing direct patient care. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Dental degree (DDS/DMD) from a CODA accredited school
  • Completion of a CODA accredited post-doctoral program in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics is required
  • Eligible for licensure in Oregon
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
  • Experience in teaching, research, service, patient care, and academic management, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be able to teach at the pre and post graduate levels
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Membership and participation in professional societies in dental research
  • Demonstrated achievement in research including awards, extra-mural funding, and publications in peer reviewed journals
