The courses taught by the candidate must include, but it is not limited to, Lifetime Fitness and Wellness, Survey of Health, Introduction to Exercise Science, Motor Development, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, and Exercise Assessment and Prescription. Additional assignment includes assisting with study for the accreditation of the program with Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHE). Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching at the undergraduate level and the ability to establish and maintain a scholarly research agenda.
The appointment will run from August 15, 2017 through August 14, 2018. The position may become a permanent faculty appointment based on enrollments of students and satisfactory faculty workload.
Evidence of effective teaching to diverse learners and experience in promoting and fostering a supportive learning environment using a variety of methodologies are a plus. The successful candidate will also play an important role in the support of the learning objectives and outcomes for a strong science program.
