SUMMARY

Two (2) full-time teaching faculty Nursing positions available at the Monroe Campus located in Tannersville, PA. These positions will help facilitate the opening of the new Registered Nurse (RN) program at the Monroe Campus. The program will be opening in the Fall 2018 semester but developmental work related to integration of simulation pedagogy and integration of discipline specific academic support/coaching will need to begin in Spring 2018.

One position will be focused on Simulation and one position will be focused on Academic Coaching.

Position 1: Simulation
This position blends responsibilities for teaching in the classroom, lab and/or clinical setting with planning, implementing and evaluating integration of simulation pedagogy that meets NCSBN Simulation Guidelines for Pre-licensure Nursing Programs. Approximately one-third (1/3) of the initial assignment for this faculty position will include assisting with the set up of the new simulation laboratory on the Monroe Campus and implementation of standards for simulation design, facilitation, debriefing, participant assessment and learning evaluation.

Position 2: Academic Coaching
This position blends responsibilities for teaching in the classroom, lab and/or clinical setting with planning, implementing and evaluating nursing specific academic coaching. Approximately two-thirds (2/3) of the initial assignment for this position will be devoted to program development activities in support of establishing the Associate Degree Nursing program on the Monroe Campus. These activities will include recruitment, information sessions and outreach to community partners as well as design and integration of programming for academic coaching of nursing students.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree with a major in Nursing from a regionally accredited Institution required.
  • Current unencumbered RN license in the Commonwealth of PA.
  • Two (2) years of teaching experience. For simulation position, experience must include use of simulation.
  • Knowledge of standards of best practice. Simulation certification a plus.
