This faculty-director position assumes overall responsibility for the surgical technology program. Duties include but are not limited to teaching didactic courses, serving as coordinator for lab and clinical courses, budget and resource management, maintenance of student and program records, communication with students, college personnel, clinical affiliates and accrediting agency. The program director is responsible for all activities related to maintaining program accreditation. These activities include but are not limited to curriculum review and revision, review and revision of program admission criteria and program policies, communicating with accrediting body, submission of annual report and personnel documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Instruction in classroom, lab and clinical.
2. Coordination of student learning experiences in lab and clinical.
3. Administrative duties.
4. Student performance evaluations, recruitment, advising and selection.
5. Northark committees.
6. Program assessment and evaluation.
7. Curriculum review and development.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

Education and Experience:
Required: Bachelor’s Degree with AAS or TC in Surgical Technology (ST). Minimum 5 years’ experience in OR Scrub role or as ST Program Instructor or combo of both within past 10 years. Surgical Tech credential from National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCAA) recognized certification program; AR Registered Surgical Tech credential.
