Lecturer (Fixed term one year, Non-tenure track position)

  • Primary teaching responsibilities include teaching (online, hybrid, face to face) courses in the following areas; Sport Marketing, Sport Governance and policy, Sports in a Contemporary Society, Management and Leadership in Sport , etc.,
  • Health and Physical Education courses: Health and Wellness, Kinesiology and Exercise Physiology, Sports Officiating and other courses as required.
  • Deliver quality based and effective educational content in daily classroom setting.
  • Advise and supervise undergraduate students in regards to registration, internships and career preparation.
  • Serve on Departmental and institutional committees.
  • Collaborate with other faculty and students to achieve the departmental vision, and developing high quality programs for students and practitioners.
  • Serve in various other areas in the department as needed. Provide service and outreach to local education authorities and other community organizations.

  • Other duties will include advising undergraduate students, providing service to the department, school and university; participating in research, grant writing, and other scholarly activities.

  • Supervise undergraduate HPE students during the internship and/or practicum courses.
