LECTURER – Department of Exercise Science, Physical Education and Wellness

Full-time, nine month, non-tenure-track positions to begin August 1, 2017. Three-year contract renewable based on satisfactory performance review.
Required: Master’s Degree from an accredited institution in Exercise Science or related field. Five years of experience as a practicing Athletic Trainer. Certified and licensed as an athletic trainer. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification. Demonstrate excellence in teaching through student and/or supervisor evaluations in Athletic Training and/or Exercise Science. Must be able to assume duties on August 1, 2017.
Preferred: Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Athletic Training. On-line teaching experience. Athletic Training course and/or program development experience.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Teach undergraduate courses in the Pre-Athletic Training concentration. The candidate may also be asked to teach other related courses as needed. Service on departmental, college, and university committees.
SALARY & BENEFITS: Commensurate with education and experience. Benefits include the accumulation of one sick leave day per month and thirteen (13) University holidays. Other benefits include medical and life insurance (shared cost with the university), retirement, optional 401k, and educational benefits. Deferred income and benefits over 12 months.
