Lincoln College-Normal invites applicants to apply for a tenure-track faculty position in the Health Services Administration Program. Located in Normal, Illinois, Lincoln College-Normal is a private, baccalaureate degree granting college and is a branch campus of Lincoln College, in Lincoln, Illinois. Position Overview: Reporting to the Business Programs Division Chair, the Lead Faculty- Health Services Administration position is a full-time, tenure-track faculty position which includes (a) teaching in a learner-centered environment, (b) administrative duties in the academic department related to the hiring, evaluation, and supervision of adjunct faculty members, (c) academic and curricular responsibilities at Lincoln College including service on the Academic Committee and programmatic student learning outcomes assessment, and (d) active academic program scholarship, student advisement, and participation in service activities.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience:
Qualifications: A doctorate in Health Services Administration or a related field is required; however, consideration may be given to candidates who are within one year of completing their doctorate. Three years experience of learner-centered instruction at the college level is also preferred. Candidate must be able to pass a criminal background check.

Experience: The successful candidate will be energetic, creative, and will have a strong commitment to teaching in a learner-centered environment and assisting in enrollment growth initiatives for the Health Services Administration Program. The successful candidate will have the following:

  • evidence of successful undergraduate teaching of diverse student populations, including accelerated and hybrid learning models;
  • experience teaching a variety of Health Services Administration courses;
  • experience with Health Services Administration curriculum and assessment of student learning outcomes;
  • experience with academic advising including the ability to provide academic and career advice to students; and,
  • the ability to work well in a small, collegial environment.

Position Requirements: The teaching load for this 9-month position is 21 credits per academic year. The balance of the workload will be administration including participation in curriculum development, program learning outcomes assessment, and hiring, evaluation, and supervision of adjunct faculty members.
