Overview

The University of Indianapolis College of Health Sciences (CHS) seeks a founding director for the new Master of Science in Health Care Management degree program. This innovative, online program is designed to specifically prepare health leaders for the long-term care and community-based / home settings. The position will be full-time tenure or non-tenure track at the assistant or associate professor depending on applicant’s qualifications and interests. The program is year-round and primarily online, so the position will include teaching and administrative responsibilities distributed across three academic semesters. Start date: Fall 2018

The MS in Health Care Management will admit the first class for the fall of 2018. The program will be housed in the College of Health Science which has a strong history of supporting online programs for working professionals.

Required Education/Experience/Skills (Minimum Qualifications):

Master’s degree required with doctoral preparation preferred in the areas of gerontology, health administration or management, health promotion, health policy, health education, or a related health discipline. Applicants should have work experience in administration in the long-term care or community-based health setting with current or license eligible status as an HFA preferred. Applicants should demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence and a passion for teaching nontraditional students in online formats.
