Clinical Assistant Professor Position in Pre-doctoral Pediatric Dentistry

Indiana University School of Dentistry’s Division of Pre-doctoral Pediatric Dentistry in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry invites applications for a full-time clinical track assistant professor teaching position.

The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching, strong leadership and team-building skills, and experience with and enthusiasm for the work of community dental outreach clinics. This capacity will support the department as it broadens utilization of both humanistic pedagogy and interprofessional education in student teaching and, through engagement with the community, provides high quality dental care to all children.

Major teaching responsibilities include didactic and clinical instruction for pre-doctoral students, student counseling and mentoring, involvement with pre-doctoral curricular reform activities and support of evidence based learning and clinical care. Other responsibilities encompass ensuring the smooth running of the Pediatric Dentistry clinic while working closely with the program director; participating in committees at the department, school and university levels; and the production of scholarship to support promotion.

Basic Qualifications

The successful candidate must have a DDS or equivalent degree; be eligible for licensure in the state of Indiana; have graduated from a CODA accredited specialty program in pediatric dentistry; be Board eligible or certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
