The Department of Pharmacology in collaboration with the Center for Lung Biology and the Division of Trauma and Critical Care Surgery at the University of South Alabama College of Medicine seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position at the associate professor level. We are specifically interested in applicants holding Ph.D., M.D., or M.D.-Ph.D. degrees with demonstrated ability to sustain extramurally funded research programs focusing on bioinformatics and systems analyses of regulatory RNA pathways in the context of trauma, burn or critical illness-related multiple organ dysfunction. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. The University of South Alabama, home to the northern Gulf coast’s only academic medical center, is located in Mobile, AL, an economically vibrant mid-sized city located in close proximity to beautiful Gulf beaches and with a wide array of recreational and cultural opportunities.
