Primary responsibilities include providing direction and management of the didactic, pre-clinical and clinical instruction in coordination with the other departments and the School’s pre-doctoral curriculum specific to diagnostic sciences, treatment plan and assist in the execution of the team based clinical practice model currently under development. The position also involves engaging the faculty of the department in research and service activities in alignment with the mission and purpose of the department, School and University. The chair will need to work well in a collegial environment with other department chairs and leadership of the School to assure that the department is integrated within the School and the University and fosters the continued growth of the team practice model. The position includes advancement opportunity through rank and tenure processes of the University.

Candidates are required to have a DDS/DMD. Candidates must have an active license for and be willing to complete all requirements or licensure in the State of Nebraska. A Doctorate or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, 2-4 years teaching experience, and/or significant publications
