The Associate Dean of the Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions plays a vital role in leading the College research agenda, securing external grant funding, and in fostering academic excellence across programs within the college. The Associate Dean reports to the College Dean and maintains cooperative relationships with the Department/School Chairpersons, Program Directors, Division Directors, and other members of the College Leadership Team. The Associate Dean serves as a Senior Officer of Central Michigan University and as the chief academic officer of the College in the absence of the Dean.Earned doctorate in one of the disciplines offered by the college or related field. Experience and qualifications for appointment with tenure at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, in one of the departments or schools within the college or related field. Leadership experience in the field of health professions at the level of chair/program director or higher, which includes budgetary experience. Demonstrated record of peer reviewed scholarly publications.Demonstrated success in procuring external grants and funds. Demonstrated experience mentoring faculty at various stages of scholarly development. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated higher education teaching experience.Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
