Houston Baptist University seeks outstanding candidates in health care administration to teach, develop, and lead a new Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program. Rank will be at the assistant, associate, or full professor level and commensurate with qualifications. The ideal candidate will have a primary teaching and research emphasis in health care administration. Candidates should be available to begin work in August 2017 or earlier. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development, delivery, and program administration of a new Master of Healthcare Administration degree in the Dunham College of Business. Additionally, this professor will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in management and health care administration, conduct research sufficient to maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA) status, and perform service activities consistent with HBU’s teaching mission. The selected candidate will perform other duties as assigned.
Candidates should have a PhD or DBA in health care administration from a regionally-accredited school and a significant record of accomplishment in the field. Rank will be commensurate with qualifications. The Dunham College of Business at Houston Baptist University is seeking AACSB accreditation and anticipates entering AACSB candidacy in the near term. Preference will be given to candidates that can maintain scholarly academic status according to AACSB accreditation criteria. Additionally, the candidate should have extensive knowledge of CAHME accreditation criteria. The goal for this program is to achieve CAHME accreditation as soon as practical after launch. Candidates should also have broad familiarity with online learning environments.
