Description of Job DutiesPrimary responsibilities include didactic teaching in the professional Pharm.D. program community pharmacy sequence, development of a new MTM Laboratory course, as well as possible instructional support in the pharmaceutical care laboratories. Participation in scholarly activities and service within the university is expected. Rank dependent on qualifications.
Education and ExperienceA Pharm.D. earned from an ACPE accredited program with community pharmacy experience including extensive knowledge in MTM and Non-Prescription Products are required. Must obtain or be eligible for an Oklahoma State Pharmacist License. Areas that will be considered an asset include: residency in Community Pharmacy or Ambulatory Care, MTM certification, or an advanced degree related to health and/or health administration; experience in a didactic teaching or as a preceptor, CE development and presentation, or educational presentations.
The candidate must submit the following with a current CV and cover letter: a one page statement of teaching philosophy and up to two pages, with supporting evidence and a concise explanation, of 1) a community pharmacy problem that would benefit from scholarly activity or outreach from the university and 2) a statement of their vision of the future of community pharmacy education and the application to practice.
