Education, Minimum Training and Experience RequiredPh.D./Ed.D. degree in sport administration/sport management, recreation, physical education or related degree field; demonstrated leadership in national, district and//or state professional organizations; record of research, publication and funded grants; have skill sets as a program developer; have record of presenting scholarly papers and research at professional conferences/meetings; have experience with program accreditation and/or reaffirmation; must have demonstrated experience with online instruction (i.e. Blackboard/Moodle, Canvass, etc.), certification a plus; possess effective leadership ability; maintain a “product oriented” work environment; have public relations skills; be a recruiter of KSLS/SPA students and faculty; be a proponent of student and faculty professional development activities and scholarly endeavors; have ability to work within the established administrative protocol; have a commitment to contribute to the body of knowledge in subject-field; serve as Program Advisor; and must have an appreciation for diversity and inclusion in a collegiate environment.
