POSITION: Full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor rank in the Sport Management department beginning in fall 2018
START DATE: 09-01-2018
Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the Department. Depending on experience and Department needs, the candidate must be able to teach in preferably two (2) or more of the following areas of the sport academy: sales and entrepreneurship; intercollegiate athletics management; marketing; finance; ethics; organizational behavior; strategic management; research methods. Additional responsibilities include academic advisement, service and scholarly work.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. or Ed.D. in Sport Management or related discipline. ABD with a designated date of complete within twelve (12) months of start date may be considered.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Teaching experience in Sport Management, preferably two (2) or more areas previously indicated, and demonstrated record of: scholarly work (publications and presentations) in Sport Management or strong evidence of such scholarly work in the future; professional experience in the sport industry; involvement as a member of national/international professional association related to sport management and/or the sport industry; and academic and/or community service.
