Assistant Professor, Post-Professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate Program

Gannon University’s Morosky College of Health Professions and Sciences Post-Professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate (ppOTD) Program is seeking applications for a full-time, 12-month notice appointment or tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin July 2017. Major responsibilities of this appointment include developing and teaching online courses within the ppOTD program, serving as the capstone coordinator to support the online ppOTD program and entry-level Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) program located at the Ruskin, Florida campus, and participating in scholarship and service derived from experience in clinical practice. Release time will be available to fulfill the essential functions of this position.

Successful candidates must have a doctoral degree (Ph.D., Ed.D., D.H.S., D.Sc., O.T.D., etc.) and be licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist within the states of Pennsylvania and Florida. Expertise in the development and teaching of online courses and use of a learning management system is required. Preference will also be granted to candidates with broad expertise within the field of occupational therapy and/or demonstrated ability to teach diverse courses within an occupational therapy graduate program, a demonstrated commitment to research and service appropriate for appointment at the level of Assistant Professor, and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Qualified candidates for a tenure-track appointment will be expected to engage in scholarly activities in keeping with the Boyer Model of Scholarship as is appropriate to the application and receipt of tenure and promotion at Gannon.
