The College of Science and Mathematics at Norwich University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position starting fall 2018, in the Department of Health and Human Performance.

The Department of Health and Human Performance is undergoing a process of growth and expansion, inviting applications for a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position. The department is seeking to add faculty who are committed to excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service with a specialization in health promotion.

Teaching assignments include undergraduate courses in the areas of Health Education and Promotion, Community Health, and Health Education Teacher Education. The applicant would be responsible for courses such as Scientific Foundations of Health and Wellness, Foundations in Teaching Health Education, Outdoor Education, and Introduction to Public Health. Additional responsibilities include mentoring student projects and academic advisement, curriculum development, program accreditation, and participation in university service.

Requirements:

Doctoral degree in Health Education and Promotion, Community and/or Public Health, or other health related fields. ABD will be considered. Main area of teaching will be in Health Education and Promotion, Personal and Community Health. Strong preference will be given to candidates who have significant teaching experience with diverse populations. Candidates with higher education teaching experience and publishing are strongly desired.
