The Department of Pediatrics and the Asthma and Allergic Diseases Center invite applications from Pediatric Allergy/Immunology subspecialists to join the faculty at the University of Virginia. Candidates at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor are encouraged to apply. Applicants must have an M.D. (or equivalent) and be board-certified (or eligible) by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI). It is expected that applicants will have strong interests in scholarship, teaching and clinical practice. Experience related to asthma or food allergy research is highly desirable. This position will be tenure-eligible, or tenure-ineligible depending on the experience of the candidate, including higher degrees and publications.

Faculty in the division participate in inpatient and outpatient consulting services and are encouraged to participate in research within the Department of Pediatrics and the Asthma and Allergic Diseases Center. As an integral part of the education mission, the incumbent will actively participate in teaching of fellows, residents, and medical students. Administrative experience to strengthen the Division of Allergy/Immunology is desirable.
