|The Department of Community Dentistry within the School of Dental Medicine, Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland Ohio, invites applications from exceptional candidates for a tenure-tract Assistant Professor position. The desired Assistant Professor applicant should be capable of establishing and maintaining an independent research program. Applicants should be focused on the psychosocial/behavioral and socioeconomic issues related to oral health disparities research, particularly in at-risk, underserved, minority, and special needs populations. |
The Faculty of the Department of Community Dentistry and other researchers within the School of Dental Medicine comprise a diverse group of individuals with expertise in epidemiology, public health, nutrition, genetics, imaging, and a number of basic science specializations. We are actively seeking colleagues with complementary expertise in the psychosocial/behavioral and socioeconomic aspects of oral health disparities research. Desirable candidates will:
Have 3-5 years of post-doctoral experience with an emphasis on health disparities;
Have experience in conducting behavioral observational studies/intervention trials in a variety of clinical settings including community-based and multi-site endeavors;
Opportunities exist for collaborations with investigators within the department and other departments of the Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Social Sciences, and with an international group of oral health disparities researchers. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the teaching mission of the department including instruction in the graduate and DMD curricula.
Candidates should have a PhD in social or behavioral sciences or DMD/DDS/MD with expertise in social or behavioral sciences.
