The School of Nursing at the University of Indianapolis seeks applications for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Nursing/BSN Program Director. This is a full-time, twelve-month, tenure-track position. This position is open May 2013; start date negotiable through August 2013.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the leadership of the BSN program to include curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation; faculty and staff recruitment, development, and evaluation; grant writing and management; new program development; student advisement; leadership in processes related to national nursing program accreditation and UIndy institutional evaluation; and engagement with community leaders and partners. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience and expertise.

Qualifications: The candidate must possess an MSN with a doctoral degree preferred. Licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Indiana as a registered nurse is required. National certification in the candidate's professional expertise area is preferred. Five years of academic administration experience is required with evidence of excellent communication skills, program development, and professional leadership. The candidate's academic record should demonstrate scholarship activities to include peer-reviewed publications, professional presentations, and research commensurate with experience as well as a record of involvement and leadership in nursing organizations at regional and national levels.
