Title Chair of Allied Health Programs

The Chair of Allied Health Programs reports to the Special Assistant to the Executive VP/Dean of Health Programs and serves on the President's Council. The Chair provides instructional vision, leadership, management, and support for faculty and curricula in Allied Health in collaboration with the Dean. The Chair is responsible for budget management, course scheduling, staffing, compliance with program accreditation standards and marketing within the Allied Health department. The Chair teaches two courses annually or as needed in the instructional area.

Bachelors degree in a health discipline from an accredited institution--Masters preferred; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; leadership experience preferred; previous community college teaching experience preferred; appropriate certification or licensure for teaching discipline.

* Salary is according to current compensation plan.
* Benefits include paid holidays, annual and sick leave, medical insurance (free to employees), and participation in the N.C. State Retirement System.
* Not applicable for part-time temporary employees.
