|The Department of Applied Health Sciences in the College of Health Sciences and Human Services is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor to teach in the Communication Disorders Program. This is a 9-month, tenure track position.|
Primary responsibilities will include: maintaining an area of expertise in teaching graduate courses, supervising graduate clinicians, advising, engaging in service activities at the departmental, college and university levels as well as developing an independent and/or interdisciplinary program of research.
Minimum Education Requirements: Candidates must have a Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology or related discipline. ABDs with a documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered. Candidates must possess the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Candidates must also be eligible for Kentucky State License.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements: Candidate should have strong interpersonal skills and experience with clinical supervision. Candidate should provide evidence of expertise in at least one of the following disorders: fluency, voice, language disorders or neurogenic communication disorders.
Preferred Experience: The preferred candidate will also have evidence of teaching and scholarly writing.
