ASSISTANT PROFESSOR, Specialization: Epidemiology
The Department of Health Systems Administration at Georgetown University invites applications for a full-time position at the level of assistant professor from candidates with a strong background in Epidemiology. The Department of Health Systems Administration offers an accredited and nationally ranked program leading to a master’s degree in health systems administration and a bachelor’s degree in health care management and policy. Departmental faculty is engaged in a vibrant research enterprise, which also engages students, research assistants, and post-doctoral fellows. As a part of a major academic medical center and the oldest Catholic, Jesuit University in the United States, the work of the Department highlights the university’s commitment to social justice and academic rigor. Our focus is on improving the quality of health care in a variety of venues, including local and national policy, the organization, delivery and financing of care, and equitable access to care.
The successful candidate must possess both a Juris Doctorate and Masters in Public Health degree, a positive record of teaching Epidemiology, and a strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate teaching.
