Dental Hygiene Instructor
Job Summary: Under the general supervision of the Department Chair delivers class and/or clinical instructions according to an approved course syllabus using accepted and effective educational methodology; advises and tutors students; maintains current and accurate attendance and grade records; remains current in applicable program field; participates in faculty meetings, instructional seminars and in-service training sessions. Participates in school activities such as faculty meetings, student functions, graduation exercises, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings.
Qualifications:
Master’s or doctorate degree in healthcare related field preferred.
Current registered Dental Hygienist license in the state of California with no pending actions. Current healthcare provider CPR with Automated External Defibrillator required.
Must have a minimum of three (3) years of dental hygiene work experience. Previous teaching experience preferred.
Must possess interpersonal skills, follow through with duties, provide attention to detail, and ability to motivate others.
