National American University seeks an occupational therapy assistant program coordinator to be responsible for the development, implementation, management, administration, and initial accreditation of the program. The program coordinator will be responsible for planning, evaluation, budgeting, selection of faculty and staff, maintenance of ACOTE accreditation, commitment to strategies for professional development, and general effectiveness of the program.
The successful candidate will hold a minimum of a master’s degree and must be an initially certified occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant that is licensed or credentialed according to regulations in the state or jurisdiction in which the program is located.
In addition, a minimum of five years of experience in the field of occupational therapy, including practice as an occupational therapist or OTA, administrative or supervisory experience, and at least one year of experience in a full-time academic appointment with teaching responsibilities is required. The program director must have an understanding of and experience with occupational therapy assistants. Previous program administration experience is a plus.
