McNeese State University invites qualified applicants and nominations for the position of Assistant Professor of Health and Human Performance and Program Director of Athletic Training in the Department of Health and Human Performance. This is a full-time, 9-month, unclassified, tenure-track position. The appointment begins in August 2010.
Position Description and Responsibilities: The Assistant Professor of Health and Human Performance and Program Director of Athletic Training is responsible for functions related to the following:
* Serving as Program Director for the Athletic Training Program.
* Teaching an appropriate course load within the department.
* Serving as Advisor for Athletic Training Students.
* Maintaining accreditation efforts with CAATE
* Sponsoring the Athletic Training Society
* Developing and maintaining an active record of scholarly work.
* Participating in University and Community service endeavors.
Qualifications: Required:
* Master's Degree in Health and Human Performance
* BOC credentialed for a minimum of five years
* Current National Athletic Trainer Certificate and Louisiana Athletic Training License
* CAATE accreditation experience
* College teaching experience preferred
Salary Range: $45,000 - $50,000
