MPH FACULTY POSITION:
Established in 1898 and located in Des Moines, Iowa, Des Moines University is comprised of three colleges offering nine graduate degrees! As the largest medical university in Iowa, Des Moines University provides a collaborative campus community where faculty, students and staff come together in the pursuit of knowledge.
Currently, Des Moines University invites qualified candidates to apply for an open Faculty- Master of Public Health position in the College of Health Sciences!
The successful candidate shall have demonstrated teaching experience in a health related environment; experience in an academic public health program is highly desirable. Must be familiar with innovative teaching methodologies and effective student evaluation methods. In addition, demonstrated expertise in the following areas is highly desirable: community health; global health; research; and policy. A doctorate degree in a relevant field is required, or an advanced degree with substantial public health-related experience may be considered. An appropriate terminal degree will be required within 5 years of hire for an applicant not possessing same. Candidates should also be skillful communicators, collaborators, and possess current/permanent legal rights to work in the U.S. and be a member in good standing among all professional and governmental organizations.
