We are accepting applications for an Assistant Professor, Healthcare Management.
Responsible to serve as an effective educator, mentor and role model for students and adjunct faculty in the College of Professional Studies for the Healthcare Management undergraduate, online and residential programs, comprised largely of professionals in the healthcare and human services fields. Responsibility includes day-to-day program management, teaching in both online and residential formats, and maintenance of curricular integrity through ongoing curriculum development and assessment.
To qualify for this exciting position, candidates must have a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Healthcare Management, clinically-based or closely related field required. Ten (10) years of experience in an applied healthcare setting. Professional certifications in the field of healthcare with experience in a variety of healthcare delivery practice settings, including those encompassing hospital and ambulatory care settings. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of healthcare compliance and survey readiness processes relative to federal and state regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies such as JCAHO, as well as:
*Familiarity with public policy related to healthcare delivery including, Medicare, Medicaid and recent reform legislation and its applied relevance to healthcare providers.
*Experience in the design and delivery of educational programming, related to healthcare is required.
*Active membership in national and regional healthcare associations preferred.
*Previous classroom and online teaching experience along with demonstrated work experience with adult learners and a history of commitment to active learning.
*Knowledge of curriculum development, project management, online teaching, and classroom facilitation techniques required.
*Proven knowledge and evidence of leadership in academic planning; program development, implementation and evaluation; and personnel management responsibilities.
